EA dropped a new piece of news today via the Star Wars Battlefront website, revealing that fans can get their first look at Star Wars Battlefront 2 on April 15, during Star Wars Celebration. The reveal will take place at 2:30 PM ET/ 11:30AM PT during the “Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront 2 panel”. You can check out the full announcement here.
During a January earnings call EA revealed that Battlefront 2 will feature a single player campaign mode and take place across multiple eras of Star Wars lore, both of which were absent from the 2015 series reboot, much to the disappointment of fans. You can read more about it here.
2015’s iteration of Star Wars Battlefront had the makings of a great online shooter, but came up short when it came to meaningful offline content. With the reported addition of a single player campaign and multiple eras, Battlefront 2 is already looking to be an improvement in several key areas. Hopefully April 15 gives fans a satisfactory look at what to expect from a Star Wars shooter campaign.
